We are seeking dedicated Carers to join our team and provide exceptional care to our residents. This is an opportunity to contribute to the well-being and quality of life of those who deserve the best care possible.

Responsibilities

As a Carer you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-cantered care to our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Your role will encompass a range of essential tasks aimed at creating a nurturing and safe environment within our residential aged care facility.
Assist residents with their activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Maintain their comfort and dignity while ensuring their individual needs are met.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents through active listening, engaging conversations, and companionship.
• Provide emotional support, empathy, and reassurance to residents and their families.
• Monitor and observe residents' physical and mental well-being, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing team.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of care provided.
• Organise and participate in recreational activities, social events, and outings that cater to our residents' interests and abilities. Create an environment that promotes socialisation, mental stimulation, and enjoyment.
• Ensure the safety of our residents by following infection control procedures, maintaining a clean environment, and adhering to health and safety regulations.

Essential Skills

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification (or willing to undertake the training required to obtain this qualification)
• Prior experience in aged care, disability support, or a related field is advantageous.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage with residents, families, and colleagues with sensitivity and respect.
• Understanding of aged care standards, regulations, and protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.
• A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to seniors and a commitment to promoting their wellbeing.
• Police Clearance - No More than (6) months old.
